Robert Filipovic (born 29 November 1983) is a Croatian former professional boxer who competed from 2015 to 2017Filipovic made his professional debut on 16 June 2015 at the Arena Boxgym in Duesseldorf, beating Georgian Grigol Abuladze by a technical knockout (TKO) in the second round.Filipovic's second fight was against German heavyweight Konstantin Airich at the Sport Halle in Herne on 11 October 2015. They fought a close first five rounds. In the sixth, Filipovic suffered a cut above his left eye from an overhand right. Just before the end of the round, Airich scored a knockdown via straight right hand, Filipovic beat the count, but the referee waved the fight off moments later, therefore giving Airich the win by TKO. A rematch took place on 26 February 2016 at the Stadthalle in Offenbach am Main. Filipovic suffered an 8-round majority decision defeat. One judge scored the fight a 76–76 draw, whilst the remaining judge and referee scored the fight 76–75 and 77–76 for Airich. Filipovic was deducted a point in the eighth round for rabbit punching, without this point deduction, the decision would have been a majority draw.On 27 August 2016, in his first fight back following the back-to-back losses to Airich, Filipovic defeated Serbian Toma Vlaovic by a first-round stoppage. Filipovic recorded a second successive win on 31 March 2017, with the first-round stoppage of Ulas Acikgoez in Moers. In his next contest, Filipovic outpointed Baran Oezdemir on 21 April 2017 in Duesseldorf.On 30 September 2017, Filipovic faced former world title challenger Derek Chisora on the Paul Butler-Stuart Hall undercard at the Echo Arena in Liverpool live on Sky Sports. The fight was scheduled for 6 rounds and ended in round five when the referee had seen enough, giving Chisora the win via TKO. Filipovic had one point deducted in the 4th round and another in the 5th for holding.
