Jerry Quarry est un boxeur américain né le 15 mai 1945 à Bakersfield, Californie, et mort le 3 janvier 1999.Vainqueur en amateur des Golden Gloves dans la catégorie poids lourds en 1965, il passe professionnel la même année et bat aux points Floyd Patterson le 28 octobre 1967 puis Thad Spencer le 3 février 1968. Quarry perd en revanche le championnat du monde poids lourds WBA organisé le 27 avril 1968 face à Jimmy Ellis par décision majoritaire à l'issue des 15 rounds. Il s'incline également contre Joe Frazier et George Chuvalo en 1969, Mohamed Ali en 1970 et 1972 et Ken Norton en 1975.
