Antonio Cervantes Reyes «Kid Pambelé» (San Basilio de Palenque, Bolívar, Colombia, 23 de diciembre de 1945) es un ex-boxeador y entrenador de boxeo colombiano que fue dos veces campeón mundial del peso wélter junior. Disputó veintiún combates de título mundial, manteniendo el título de las 140 libras por casi ocho años.De origen afrocolombiano y de extracción humilde, nació en San Basilio de Palenque, población conocida porque allí se dio la primera rebelión de esclavos de América. Vivió su niñez y adolescencia entre su pueblo natal y el popular barrio Chambacú de Cartagena de Indias. De niño fue embalador y vendedor de cigarrillos.A los dieciocho años empezó a boxear. Solo realizó tres peleas como aficionado, ganando dos y perdiendo una. Se inició como profesional el 31 de enero de 1964 al vencer a Juan Martínez por decisión en seis asaltos. Su estilo deslucido generaba rechazo entre el público cartagenero. En sus comienzos era un púgil del montón que peleaba en caseríos remotos. Una noche llegó al colmo de apostar dinero por su propia derrota, lo cual le costó una sanción de la Federación Colombiana de Boxeo. Por eso se fue para Venezuela, donde en 1967 ingresó a la cuerda del empresario venezolano Ramiro Machado, donde fue pulido por el entrenador Melquíades "Tabaquito" Sanz.Sus primeras 32 peleas como profesional fueron en Colombia, ganó 27, perdió 4 y empató una. El 25 de noviembre de 1968, en Caracas, Cervantes noqueó a Orlando Ruiz en el primer asalto en su primera pelea en el extranjero. Tres días después derrotó a Néstor Rojas en una decisión en diez asaltos.El 23 de diciembre de 1968 sufrió su primera derrota por nocaut cuando Cruz Marcano, un fiero peleador de la época, lo venció en cuatro asaltos en Caracas.
